The area around Didcot is noted for its leading edge science, innovative businesses and fine scenery.

Within a couple of miles there are some remarkable research and development centres, like Culham, Harwelland the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory. Many scientists and technologists live in this area. When you come to Didcot you are in Science Vale.

Just north is Oxford with two universities, (Oxford University and Oxford Brookes University), a Science Park and Business Park. Oxford brings history, learning and commerce together.

Beyond Oxford lie Woodstock and Blenheim Palace, birthplace of Winston Churchill. Then it’s on toBicester Village shopping centre, home to fashion, boutiques and discounted designer stores. Further still, but only an hour away, are Stratford upon Avon, and picturesque Cotswold towns like Burford, Bourton-on-the-water and Chipping Campden.

Much nearer Didcot you will find some of the most beautiful Thames-side towns and villages such as Streatley, Goring, Pangbourne and Henley.
